Bridal Showers are a sight to see in the perspective eyes of a guy. I had the chance to photograph my best friends fiance’s bridal shower held in Fairfield,CT.  I must say that I have never seen so many women gathered in one place to celebrate the forthcoming of a B.I.P. (Bride in Progress). There was laughter, excitement and love in the room filled by the closest friends of the future Mrs. Matis. Luckily I was able to steer clear of the ladies fun and capture some very fun candids of her day of joy.

Congratulations Kate & John on your upcoming wedding, I am happy for you both and looking forward to sharing your special day with you on the other side of the lens.

A Very Jefferson Wedding

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of capturing Elijah and Rosie Jefferson during one of their most romantic evenings ever. They picked a beautiful setting to hold their nuptials at the Wavenly House in New Canaan, Connecticut. Not only was the setting romantic and classic but so was the Bridal Party. This wedding not only had class reintroduced to weddings but they did it in a grand style. As I sift through the 500 plus photos of their wedding, I thought I’d showcase some photos I have been working on.

Heat Wave of Love

Photographers are like postal workers, either rain, sleet, snow and HEAT.  We work in all conditions of the weather in order to capture the memories our clients produce before our eyes.  This weekend I had back to back photography shoots that consisted me mainly working outdoors. I didn’t sweat it because its my job and luckily  found ways to cool off.  I have to look over about 600 pictures in the next week or so, but thought I give my clients a preview of what goodness I captured amongst the heat.

Today was the engagement shoot of Ariana and Derek who’s wedding is in October. I must say, that in this heat they were willing and ready to get their photo on regardless of the humidity. They were a blast to work with and can not wait for their wedding.  -Congrats Ariana and Derek

The Countdown Begins unti I say “I do”

Yesterday marked the 1 month countdown for my upcoming nuptials to my beautiful bride-to-be Kelly. So today, I decided to snap a picture of our rings that we will be exchanging in the coming weeks.  Not only am I getting married but my best friend is also getting married less then 30 days after me. To top it off, the summer has been full of engagement shoots, weddings and so much more.  I am truly grateful for the wonderful clients that I will soon be working with in the coming months, without you I wouldn’t get the chance to do what I love.

Here come the Macy’s

Yesterday was filled with bright sunshine and love. I got the chance to attend the wedding of the newly Macy’s in celebration of their love to each other. The weather turned out great, their friends all came and watched as the people they knew were about to become one. I wasn’t their photographer but of course I brought my camera to take some pictures of the Bride and Groom on their day of wedding bliss.

Summer Lovin

Ahh, how sweet it is to be in love and engaged during the summer.  Erik and Leeanne are one of the sweetest, most love induced couple I have ever come across. We got together tonight to shoot their engagement pictures at Hammonasset Beach State Park. The beach setting during sunset tonight was very romantic and gave us a great canvas for their “Summer Lovin”.

Their 80th Year

This post is most definite due and I apologize to my family. My grandparents celebrated their big 80th birthday this year and since I have now become the “family photographer” I was required to take pictures. They did ask but I was already going to, its my passion to capture life’s greatest moments. I am very fortunate to have both my grandparents  as they are two of the most incredible people. My grandpa is someone who can pretty much do anything and at 80 years old still feels like hes 20. My grandma on the other hand is the sweetest person you will meet, seriously I mean it. I was very honored to be in the presence of their 80th birthday and my love goes out to them and the beautiful family they have created. Love you guys.

Summer Festivities

Ahh, you know when the start of Summer is here when you attend the local festivals and see the following: kids, funnel cakes music. I love summer because of this, well its not the only thing. but its a big one. Capturing kids being kids brings me back to my childhood.

A Very Memorial Day

Memorial Day, It’s the first real mark that Summer is just about here if not already for some. Memorial day is all about Hamburgers and Ladder ball, Potato salad and Family. Above all Memorial Day is also about those who serve
 or have served our country. My Memorial day was great, good friends and good food. To top it off it was my little cousins 4th birthday and you can’t stand in the way of a hungry 4 year old and a giant frosting filled cake.
